Ruskin® has introduced the ACL1245V, a 12-inch deep stationary acoustical louver engineered to deliver high-efficiency airflow with integrated noise attenuation for exterior wall intake and exhaust applications. Featuring insulated, mineral wool-filled blades arranged at a 45-degree angle, the ACL1245V provides meaningful transmission loss while maintaining low pressure drop and effective weather protection.
The ACL1245V is designed for applications where both acoustic performance and weather resistance are critical. Its V-shaped blades, spaced approximately 6 inches on center, combine an 18-gauge galvanized-steel exterior surface with a 22-gauge perforated-steel interior surface surrounding mineral wool insulation. This construction delivers a sound transmission class (STC) rating of 16 and an outdoor-indoor transmission class (OITC) rating of 10, with free field noise reduction reaching up to 32 dB in the 2,000–4,000 Hz octave bands.
Weather performance is equally robust with the beginning point of water penetration at 980 fpm (299 m/min) at 0.01 oz. per sq.ft., tested per AMCA Publication 511. The louver’s 22% free area supports efficient airflow while its architectural appearance suits a wide range of building façade designs. Available in galvanized steel and aluminum construction, the ACL1245V supports a maximum single-section factory assembly size of 60" inches by120 inches, with larger assemblies field-built from factory sections.
Product Features:
